The redheaded teen found himself going into the forest often lately. It was no surprise, though. He always was the adventurous type of guy. He liked to explore more of the world and make new discoveries. It absolutely fascinated him! Now, going out into the forest during the night was maybe the second or third time. Who knew how many times he would go out at night. Cecil was quite the rebel in his days as a child. The possible chances of danger excited him. He was all in for the ride through the funny parts, the scary parts, the happy parts, and the sad parts. It was all part of life. Cecil went to the forest that night to see if there would be any fireflies out. It was early in spring so he probably wouldn't get to see many or any at all. Hm... I guess it's still a bit cold outside for them to come out. Cecil turned his flashlight on when it got dark enough that he couldn't see. He wasn't ready to return home immediately so he walked over to a tree and sat down on the ground, leaning against the tree with his back against it. Cecil placed his flashlight down and turned it off, throwing his head back slightly and gazing up at the stars. I like how the stars shine brighter here. It's beautiful.P.J. Herzfeld

Ah, the sweet sensation of flying at night. God, it's been too long...
For the first time in weeks, P.J. was flying across the clear night sky. His small shape cast a silhouette against the bright moon. If there had been more bats out that night, it would have given the night a much more eerie look, which P.J. loved.
His night was perfect, until he saw some dude looking up at the sky.
Why is he out now? I've planned this night for days and he just shows up to ruin it all? ...Maybe I can make this night a little fun.
Peej swooped down to the forest as quietly as he possibly could, about 10 feet away from the boy. WIthout a sound, he shifted back into a human. P.J. hid behind a tree near the boy, waiting for the right moment to jump out.
Aaannd...NOW!
The small teen jumped out, and loudly screamed at the boy, attempting to scare him away.
(that title is perfect ash XD)

(D'aww<3 Thanks! I thought it was cute.)
Cecil was looking up at the starry sky and noticed a shadow block out a couple stars. What was that? Maybe it was a bird.. Or, a bat! a bat would make more sense because the birds should have been in their homes. Then again, it could have been a nocturnal bird like an owl. Cecil thought owls were so beautiful. He sighed to himself in content and closed his green eyes, growing comfortable in the spot. The boy jumped when he heard someone or something yell at him from behind. Cecil scrambled on the forest floor and looked to see what or who it was. Cecil could see the male quite clearly because of how many stars were shining in the sky and the moon was out. It shone light on the forest and the man standing before him. Cecil was a little captivated by the sight. "Oh.. Hello~!" he piped up and put on a smile. "You scared me."

P.J.'s expression turned excited to negative quicker than you'd believe.
Are you seriously kidding?!
Words could not describe how frustrated and angry Peej was. Apparently fear couldn't drive away this kid. P.J. raised an eyebrow in confusion and anger. There wasn't even the slightest sign of fear in the boy's face! He was just sort of...standing there stupidly with a smile.
"Didn't your parents warn you about strangers?" the small teen asked, annoyed that the boy was still there.

Cecil wondered why the guy asked him such a question. In his point of view, he saw nothing wrong with being friendly. It might have been that he was being too friendly with several strangers. "Hm..." he hummed slightly as he thought about it. His green eyes lit up and he looked up at the dark-haired male. "Yes! They did." Cecil was a total airhead. That was all there was to it. "I'm Cecil. What's your name?"

P.J stayed silent. He knew that it was dangerous to interact with humans. But Cecil seemed...harmless. Almost as if he wanted to befriend him.
The smaller teen furrowed his eyebrows in frustration. "You're supposed to run away! Not laugh it off and try to befriend them!" Peej yelled at Cecil, also trying to keep his bat wings hidden.
Screw it. He won't care anyway.
P.J. turned around to sit on a wide rock, revealing his bat wings to Cecil. "Now I don't know what to do...I've never gotten this far." he muttered to himself, pouting. He looked up at Cecil and closed his crystal blue eyes.
"It's P.J...P.J Herzfeld."

The boy was oblivious to the fact that not all strangers were nice and truthful about themselves. Cecil always managed to see the good in people and it wasn't necessarily a bad thing but in between. He could get involved with the wrong people someday. His green eyes blinked curiously at the man, and he was a little startled for being yelled at. "Heh... really?" Cecil was warned about strangers but he didn't think he should judge the person right away before getting to know them. Couldn't he let his guard down just a little bit? Cecil decided to stand up on his feet, dusting his clothes off with his hands. He lifted his gaze from his clothes and took notice of the wings on the man's back.
"Wow! So, were you flying up in the sky?!" he exclaimed excitedly and his green eyes sparkled with amazement. Cecil took a few steps closer toward the dark-haired male and his eyes were fixated on P.J.'s wings. "Nice to meet you P.J. Your wings.. They look like bat wings. That is so cool!"

Usually, people like Cecil would annoy P.J. to no end. But the element of child-like curiosity in him made Peej enjoy his presence. He hated many things, but children were not one of them.
The small teen smiled. He spread his bat wings, and pointed at them. "Yup, I'm half vampire bat." P.J. smiled a toothy grin, revealing his sharp canines. "But, don't tell anyone, okay?"
God, I hope I didn't just make a huge mistake...
It was common sense to be conservative around humans if you're a half-blood. However, P.J. didn't see any danger in him. That or Cecil is a fantastic actor.

"But, don't tell anyone, okay?" "Okay! I promise I won't tell." Cecil didn't want anyone to get hurt or killed nor did he want the pasty to repeat itself. He had enough blood on his hands from back then. He was just a child at the time, and he still felt like he could have done more to save his friends. Why were humans so cruel? Cecil hated humans for that, even himself. Cecil bit on his bottom lip slightly and a light blush appeared across his cheeks. "I think your wings are beautiful- erm... I mean, handsome! U-Uhh..." His light pink blush instantly turned red, and he placed his hands on his face to hide it. "Um... I'm sorry. I'm so weird." I think he's handsome.. but that would be weird to say to a guy.. right?

"Okay! I promise I won't tell."
The smaller teen smiled, and happily replied, "Good." P.J. was still reluctant to trust Cecil, but at the moment, there wasn't really a choice. If you show someone your animal attributes, you just have to hope they won't call the government.
Hah, we both seem like polar opposites. One of us is naïve, innocent and kind...and the other is dark, sarcastic and loves to read, write, and draw horror. Just being in his presence makes me feel like I'm a bad influence.
"I think your wings are beautiful- erm... I mean, handsome! U-Uhh...Um... I'm sorry. I'm so weird."
P.J. looked up at Cecil and saw pink, and soon red, rise to his cheeks. Soon, he felt heat rise to his own cheeks. "Thanks, Cecil," P.J thanked, smiling like an idiot. "D-don't worry, it's not weird," Peej struggled to find a way to continue his thought. There was a small pause before he stood up and continued, "It's okay if you want to call me 'beautiful'." The small teen smirked at his somewhat flirtatious comment, hoping to see Cecil in a blushing mess.
(gAHH PJ IS SO SMILEY AROUND CECIL ;v;)
