Who Am I? Anria Liana
Luke sits frozen in a seat. he is clutching a children's book while surrounded by various history textbooks pilled around his chair. his pack of cigarettes has been tossed across the room.
He is staring at the pages of a children's book from long ago in his early years. it is apparent that Luke is in shock. his tail is turning the pages for him and he can't quite grasp what this book means to him. Of the few things he's rediscovered in this world, the horrors of those history books have left Luke overwhelmingly bitter. Notes template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

This had become a frequent habit of hers, wandering around and simply letting her feet take her where they may. Her thoughts tended to vary between swarming and barren at any given moment. Whether it was Alec, Elodie, Edessa, her dead family, Sam, any thought would send her spiraling again and again and again. There had once been a time, about six months ago, when Anria would have reveled in sticking a manicured fingernail into those same feelings of someone else's. In fact, she had once made it a game to see how much of her presence one could take before they flipped. Life wasn't so fun anymore. It was dull and cruel and awful. She missed the company of people that cared about her and hated that she wanted people to care. It was disgusting and pathetic. But she didn't even have the strength nowadays to remind herself of that. On that particular afternoon, young therian Anria had wandered into the library. Last time she had been here, everything had been normal. What did people do in libraries? Anria had never been to one to use it for its actual purpose. Read, right? People read in libraries? That seemed right to her, so she shuffled over to a bookshelf and stared vacantly at it, not skimming the bindings or anything, just staring at it. Probably was even more strange that it was a shelf of children's books, maybe even more strange than the acquaintance on the couch behind her. Who Am I? Lukes identity, history, and worldview are not just clouded but completely blocked out from access to luke. the only things that he does end up recalling in those moments are emotions. Thus Lukes behaviors, identity and self-worth have been changing dramatically since his rebirth.
Events such as discovering a children's book that was read to him as a kid are traumatic. Even more so was discovering what He indeed was. even more than that the world's opinion on him and his kind.
luke glances away from the book, There's No Such Thing As A Dragon, and over at Anria. he reads it aloud for a duration of about 1 minute then stopping.
in this book was outlined a sort of symbolism. his mother urges the boy in this story that there is no such thing as a dragon, yet the boy follows this pet dragon on its adventures as it grows up to prove its existence to his mother. this symbolism hits luke hard but he doesn't know how it connects to him and why, he just knows it saddens him.

[attr="class","box2"] Anria's parents used to read to her, too. Her family had been one composed entirely of therians, almost normal but for a single distinction from humans. Anria remembered being tucked into her bed, large white wings finally free and curled around her after an agonizing day of pretending to be human. She and her sister would gaze up at their hawk-half father as he perched - no pun intended -at the foot of one of their beds and read aloud to them, their mother leaning against the door frame with a quiet reflective smile. Anria shuddered. It became apparent that someone had been reading aloud in this God-forsaken present reality, and now that he had stopped, the room seemed uncomfortably silent. They were the only two in the library, as far as she could tell; there weren't many residents at Haven, and it wasn't uncommon for public buildings to be relatively empty. Anria turned to Luke. She had met him before once, had actually introduced him to the world of therians and of Haven. But she merely gazed at him with a vacant expression, unable to register and recognize Luke. Who Am I? Luke recognizes Anria very well. luke is excited at the thought of actually recalling an important memory. he informs her of how he has been adopting his new lifestyle and goes on a very long explanation of his new relationship with his tail not leaving any time for a reply.
all the while his tail slowly recovers from being puffed up after his traumatic readings. Lukes body language makes him look tired and hungry. his expressions show a depressed individual, but his voice still seems as cheery as always. luke is very disoriented despite his attempts to hide it.

[/div] [attr="class","box2"] Anria nodded politely as this person began to discuss his adjustment to Haven and his peculiar interactions with his own tail. She was still uneasy after her flashback, and the white hawk therian folded her arms across her torso for comfort as she forced a friendly smile. It was only after an uncomfortable moment of silence that Anria began to recognize Luke, but she still couldn't place his identity. She blinked and kind of let her head loll off to the side as she studied the familiar face. "D... Do I know you?" Her voice was quiet, lacking all the strength and venom it had once had so long ago. If it wasn't already already apparent, Anria wasn't exactly completely together. Maybe it was because what had happened had finally set in. Maybe it was because she had begun to realize how horrible she had been, and yet despite it, she believed she had been strongest when she was the villain. However much she loathed how she had been, it was a large part of her that wanted to go back to that facade, and it scared her that it was possible she wouldn't be able to. Who Am I? if Luke couldn't remember himself, he supposed he shouldn't hold the standard others remember him. though he was slightly disappointed at Anrias response he was quick to remind her. " I'm Luke, we met... you introduced me to myself and yourself... it was confusing wasn't it?" luke shuddered at the thought of having to introduce himself all over again.
lukes transition to the Therian world had not been smooth and as of yet, he had only known Anria. he didn't know what to expect from her but then again he didn't know what to expect from this world.

[attr="class","box2"]Anria still stood still, and she blinked as he reintroduced himself. Her lips parted and her eyes narrowed as she strained her feeble mind searching for any recognition. "Luke..." She muttered, then running her tongue over her dry chapped lips. "Luke..." Then it was as if a light bulb went off inside her head, and Anria blinked and straightened herself, her eyes darting off to the corner of the room. "Right, Luke. I'm sorry, I..." Anria closed her eyes, drew in a breath and released it. "I haven't been myself lately. I think it's catching up to me." She wasn't sure if she was talking about her facade, or this new broken shell of herself that "hadn't been herself lately." "You look.. You look good? You're good?" She returned her brightly colored eyes to him, eyes that seemed to have dulled from their old sharpness. It was beginning to come back to her now, her meeting Luke. It helped, thought she probably didn't realize it, to be talking to someone else and reflecting on less frightening memories. The distracted was certainly needed. As much as Anria longed to be alone all the time - only helped by the lack of residents in Haven - seeing other people would do her good. Who Am I? Luke could tell Anria has undergone some sort of change since their last visit. luke, not knowing how to deal with anyone in any state of promptly asks "are you ok? you don't look right". luke raps his tail around his waist and closes his jacket.
Luke also notices Anrias sudden remembrance of him. this was very good for Lukes self-esteem to have one person have some idea of who he was. at any point in the past weeks, Luke has been struggling with his self-image or lack therefore.

[/div] [attr="class","box2"] It felt like someone had forced acid down her throat when he said that. "Are you okay? You don't look right" That was probably true. She certainly felt worse than she allowed herself to show. Anria forced another smile, shifting her weight from one foot to the other in unease. She waved a dismissive hand. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine," she assured Luke, "I'm probably just... feeling the cold and isolation of winter, s'all." She kind of let the quiet hang for a moment. Cautiously, almost uncertain she would be welcome, Anria crossed the distance between them and sat at the edge of the couch Luke was on, turning herself so she was facing him and drawing her knees up to her chest. "How are you? You kind of got your whole world turned upside down, right? How are you handling things?"
