Complete surprise crossed over Anria as she stood staring at this Rhy. She unintentionally let a seconds pass before her face contorted in humor and a deep giggle erupted from between her lips. "You're- you're-" Anria began, but her laughter overpowered her sentence. It took her some couple seconds to regain her composure, and she wiped below her eyes as she sighed the last of her giggles away. "Oh, the irony," she stated with a slight shake of her head. "That's a good one. I'm Anria. You call me Annika again and I'll give you some serious wounds to lick." She smiled, crossed her arms, and rolled her neck out to pass time. "So how does the whole hearing thing work? You still lack it in cat form?"

Rhy watched as the girl's face went slack in shock before she burst into a fit of uncontrollable giggling. That was definitely a first time for that reaction. Most of the time people just looked at him oddly and told him they were sorry. Wild laughter was better than pity anyday.
"That's a good one. I'm Anria. You call me Annika again and I'll give you some serious wounds to lick." Anria. Her name was Anria. And she was still incredibly feisty, even after their fighting had ceased.
"So how does the whole hearing thing work? You still lack it in cat form?" Rhy shrugged and nodded. "Yeah, you know, the whole white-fur-blue-eyes thing. I just got the worst of both gene pools. Although, I guess I'm better off than some, 'cause I'm not completely deaf. I could probably hear it if you screamed in my ear or turned that awful music of yours up really loudly." (Sorry it's taken me so long to respond! I had a super busy day yesterday and a lot to do this morning XP)

"That's something we'll have to test, then," Anria responded with a jut of her eyebrows. Conversations had never been her forte, so she found herself standing dumbly, unintentionally, as she waited for an idea to pop into her head or for Rhy to say something. Well, there was always one thing to do: pry into one's personal life. "How'da get here, Rhy? Random portal appear when you least expected it, or prayed to your favored god for a way out?"
|No worries! I, myself, had a crazy day, and look at that pathetic post of mine!! *Sigh*|

"That's something we'll have to test, then," Rhy groaned. "Let's not. Please. What were you even listening to?" While he had nothing against most music and could even tolerate most boybands (not that he particularly loved One Direction though), Anria's had just been a dissonant cacophony to Rhy.
"How'da get here, Rhy? Random portal appear when you least expected it, or prayed to your favored god for a way out?" He grimaced as he thought of his first day in Haven. "I was hidden in a wardrobe, watched my parents get murdered, and then pushed towards the back when their killers came looking for me, basically turning up in Narnia. And I don't really believe in a god." How could he, with everything bad that happened? Rhy sighed. "What about you, how'd you find your way here?"

Anria shrugged, only slightly surprised by the consistency of the connections between her own background story and his. Rhy seemed to have accepted his past, something Anria had done in her own way. "Sounds about right," She said upon the conclusion of Rhy's short explanation. She completely agreed with his choice of apparent atheism for, most likely, the same reasons. "I think we've got the same story." Though that wasn't necessarily true, Anria wasn't the kind of person to spew her guts about her past, even with friends. So far, she wasn't certain what her relationship with Rhy was. He seems.. eh.. similar to me? She thought for lack of a better word.

"Sounds about right. I think we've got the same story." Rhy nodded. Despite the fact that he had known Anria for less than an hour, he'd already conversed with her and told her more about himself than he had to anyone during his time in Haven. He wasn't sure he'd consider them friends, not yet at least, but he definitely wanted to get to know her more. She seemed to get him. "So, what kind of therian are you, anyway? I mean, you know that I'm a cat, it's only fair that I get to know what you are because you're definitely at the advantage in any further fights we have right now."

My half-blood shift? She thought, giving Rhy a scheptic look. "Yes, I have the upper hand, but what's the harm in an only slightly unfair fight?" She asked, smiling. "Make three decent guesses and I'll tell you. They don't have to be correct, just actually put effort into it." Anria spread her large wings out wide for inspection, smirking playfully all the while. She was liking this Rhy guy more and more by the second, and it took all her effort to restrain her soft interior and to reinforce her tough outer shell.

"Yes, I have the upper hand, but what's the harm in an only slightly unfair fight?" Rhy gasped in mock surprise. "Is that a veiled compliment I hear?" He asked with a smirk. Anria didn't seem like one to give out praise often, so he was pretty content with that, no matter how subtle.
"Make three decent guesses and I'll tell you. They don't have to be correct, just actually put effort into it." Rhy watched as Anria unfurled her wings. They were large and white flecked with brown. Rhy cupped his chin in thought as he stared at her. Three good guesses. "Well, obviously you're some kind of bird," he stated. "And I'm not going to guess dove, because you're not nearly peaceful enough for that. Maybe a snowy owl?"

Anria cringed, placing a hand over her heart as though wounded. "Ouch. You think I'd turn my head all the way around - you think I'm lazy?" Anria joked, shaking her head and scratching her scalp. "Guess again, kitty."
|Yikes, that's short. You can do the next post of yours including his next two guesses, if you'd like, to speed things along. You don't have to, just a suggestion XD|

"Guess again, kitty." Rhy frowned. He had very little knowledge of birds. What were two more that might apply to Anria? What birds had white wings? "Let's see..." he muttered. "Seagull?" No, probably something more bird-of-preyish. "A hawk?" Three guesses. And probably none of them right. The fiery redhead seemed to pride herself in inventing games she could win- this would be his second loss in a row.
