"If it's not too much to ask, I would really appreciate it. "N-no, of course it isn't too much to ask." she replied nervously. "I don't know how to treat a wing but I'll try my best." She followed after Anria to the kitchen and she made sure to keep her distance so she wasn't in the way. "Wash your hands real quick." "Okay." Elodie walked over to the sink and turned on the water, applying soap to her hands and then washing them. After she was done, she dried her hands and turned the running water off. She was quick to step to the side afterward and she looked over at Anria, watching her set a large first-aid kit on the counter. I hope I don't mess this up.. Anria pointed at the antiseptic wash and Elodie walked over to her, grabbing the antiseptic and turning to her. "U-um... I need to know if you can trust me with this. It's going to hurt and I don't want you to think it's intentional on my part.."

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Anria smiled at her, and for anyone that was paying attention, an inkling of her trademark smirk seeped back into her expression. As expected, Elodie had no idea what Anria's limits were, or how close she had come to meeting them. The therian pulled her long locks of red hair over the shoulder opposing her injured wing, and turned her head to meet Elodie's gaze. "You saw those pictures, right?" Anria inquired, her eyes studying the other woman like a- eh.. ahem - like a hawk. "I'm well acquaintance with pain." She tried to make her smile appear less hostile-Anria-y than it felt. It was sweet, even humbling, that Elodie was so concerned about keeping Anria safe. Really, everything about her was sweet, delicate, yet strong, considering all the horrific experiences that she had inevitably had. And she was quite attractive too, and she- "I trust you." Anria confirmed, just in case Elodie hadn't quite comprehended her previous attempt at assurance. "I'll be fine. You'll be fine."

"You saw those pictures, right?" The question made El uncomfortable and she gripped the antiseptic wash tightly without realizing it. "Yes... I saw the pictures." She felt guilty for being nosy and not to mention she was worried for herself a little bit. She tried not to think of bad things of Anria by looking at some pictures. "I'm well acquaintance with pain." Elodie remained silent because she was left without words. It was the kind of situation where she didn't know if it was safe for her to speak. If it was, what would she say to ease the tension? "I trust you." Elodie nodded her head and smiled at Anria. "Okay then." She examined the wing and glanced over at Anria. "Tell me when you are ready. Oh.. would you like something to bite on? It would probably be best to bite on something instead of clenching your teeth... if you were doing that." It kind of felt like she was playing doctor. It scared her to treat someone's wound so she wanted to make sure her patient was comfortable.

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Anria didn't necessarily need something to bite to distract from the pain, but she knew it would make Elodie more comfortable if she did. It was clear that the other woman was already somewhat on edge, as indicated, among other things, by the sudden strangulation of the antiseptic wash. The avian woman's words had seemed to put Elodie closer to at ease, but that didn't mean she was relaxed. Anria had to assume that, for someone as seemingly shy and uncertain as Elodie, the idea of inflicting pain - regardless of it being for medical purposes - might be unbearable in itself. Maybe that was part of why Anria was letting Elodie help; she was curious as to whether this new Haven resident could come through with her offer to help. And quite possibly, the deeper parts of Anria waned to prove that it wasn't possible to be someone other than who you had been for so long. If that made sense, of course. "Sure," Anria responded with a kind smile. She reached down and undid her belt, folded it once, then bit down on it. With a deep breath, Anria nodded, leaning on the counter with her wing extended, quite prepared for the incoming pain.

"Sure," "O-only if it will make it easier on you." El looked around as if she knew where something was that Anria could bite on. She heard the belt being undone and she looked up slightly, watching Anria take her belt off. Her blue eyes lifted up to Anria's eyes and then she turned back to the wing that was extended over the sink. "Okay.." Elodie glanced at the bottle in her hand and then back to Anria's wing. Should I just pour it on there or... rub it in? She wasn't experienced with tending to wounds so she didn't know which would be best to do. El opened the bottle and studied her wing one more time before hesitantly flushing out the wound with the antiseptic. I'm sorry..

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY She had to admit, biting down on the belt did help. It hurt about as much as a bee sting, with the initial shock, then the aching throb. Anria'd felt it before, and though her lip twitched when Elodie started flushed it, she knew what to expect and didn't mind it so much. Even though the belt really wasn't necessary for her, she was grateful that there was something to buffer her teeth and jaw from shattering. When the pain started to ease up, and the sound of liquid hitting the metallic sink bottom stopped, Anria let out a breath. She plucked the belt out of her mouth and set it on the counter, then reached over for the gauze, hopefully without slapping Elodie with her large, somewhat-numbed wings. Then she reached back, offering the gauze to Elodie to pat dry the wound.

Elodie stayed close beside Anria and she waited to be told what to do next. It bothered her that she hurt Anria but it wasn't intentional. It had to be done so the wound wouldn't get infected later on. Anria reached over for the gauze and Elodie didn't notice her large wing come up and hit her. It didn't hurt that much but it did throw Elodie off balance. She stumbled a little and regained her balance, turning around and walking back to where she was standing. "I-I'm sorry.. I wasn't paying attention."

SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Anria realized her error just as she was reaching around to offer up the gauze. Elodie stumbled back, apparently thwacked by Anria's wings, then quickly caught herself. The red-head stood awkwardly holding out the gauze, processing what had suddenly happened. When it clicked, Anria dropped the gauze on the counter, and stepped towards Elodie at a closeness that might be unsettling - Anria had grown accustomed to standing at such a distance, and though it had typically been to make people uncomfortable, now, she just wanted to assure Elodie. Carefully folding her wings away so as to not have them awkwardly extended, Anria reached out to brush Elodie's upper arm and elbow. "No, no it's my fault, I'm sorry. Are you okay?" Anria gave the other girl a worried smile, suddenly aware of how concerned she was for Elodie's wellbeing. "What animal shift are you? You must have some pretty good balance to recover from a thunk like that. I'm so sorry."

Blood rushed to her cheeks, making them turn a light shade of pink. The sudden touch from the stranger surprised her. She pulled away slowly as if that would mean she wasn't that bothered by Anria's touch. Her first instinct was to jerk away but she didn't want Anria to think that her touch was disgusting. It was just different... and a little scary. "No, no it's my fault, I'm sorry. Are you okay?" "Yes... I'm fine. It just surprised me more than anything." Elodie's right hand reached over and clutched her arm slightly. "What animal shift are you? You must have some pretty good balance to recover from a thunk like that. I'm so sorry." "I'm a human.. but Sam is a wolf."

[googlefont="Griffy"][googlefont="Abel"] SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Anria noticed Elodie's blushing, and it even became aware to her that she was acting rather.. affectionate? Intimate? She took a step back, just about at the time Elodie shifted away. Anria just couldn't help but feel grateful for Elodie's presence; It made her feel less like a monster. And then Elodie said she was human. Anria's smile slipped, and she took a step back, running into the counter behind her. Her hands dropped to her sides, and her pupils sharpened and widened as her animal instincts kicked in. She gulped. "Oh..." Anria said in a voice entirely void of emotion. Anria hadn't met a human in quite some time; the last probably one of her loose-cannon days. And here was one in her home, a human she had started to feel for, and- Wait- What?
