Anria made one kind of laughing noise as she returned her hand to her lap. "Now why would you think that?" she teased, but then added, "Well, I suppose you are a mind reader then." She shrugged once. "But to be fair, you can't complain," Anria remarked with a gesture to the book in Peej's hand. "Tell me; you aren't going to be like everyone else, right? Everyone here always seems to be in a few orderly groups, but you... you seem more my type. I'm not mistaken, am I?"

P.J. chuckled to himself as Anria pointed to his book. "You caught me. It's ironic isn't it?" he asked rhetorically.
"Tell me; you aren't going to be like everyone else, right? Everyone here always seems to be in a few orderly groups, but you... you seem more my type. I'm not mistaken, am I?"
"It depends. I'm interested in some pretty sick stuff, stuff people usually don't understand nor want to understand. I can get pretty dark. You?"
I like this girl. Anria's the first person I can really relate to.

She chuckled to herself. "You have no idea," she responded, happy that she found similarities in Peej. "I mean, I was probably the reason my parents died, so... oh, and I was almost killed by a goat mutant two days ago." She shrugged. Joking about the death of her family was something very much out of the ordinary for Anria, but she felt inclined to make it less difficult to think about. "I guess my difference is that I'm not trapped inside myself. I've moved on, changed for the better, had a number of epiphanies that others would find insensitive." Anria shrugged again, studying the sky.

"I mean, I was probably the reason my parents died, so... oh, and I was almost killed by a goat mutant two days ago."
Well dang...
"I'm sure you must have a great dignity." P.J. replied sarcastically. "If you don't mind me asking, how was it your fault that your parents died...?" It wasn't normal to joke about the death of a loved one, especially if someone was the reason for it.
(sorry for the short post D:)

"Don't talk about my parents," Anria hissed suddenly, turning to Peej and sticking a finger towards his chest menacingly. "Or I swear to God..." Shaking her head, the young woman returned to diligently studying her hands, her face relaxing once more to a smirk. Later, she would realize how hypocritical her response was, regardless of how little she cared. In a lighter, kinder, almost childish voice she responded, "You shouldn't ask about things that don't concern you."

P.J. flinched as Anria pointed her finger at him suddenly. He raised his hands up, and smirked. Call him evil, but P.J. loved it when he made others angry. But this one he could admit he'd gone too far.
"Sorry. I won't touch the subject again." P.J. apologized. "I know I shouldn't ask questions to things I'm not prepared to learn."
She just seemed to be fine with joking about it...maybe it's an "Only I can do it," thing.
"So what are you into, Anria? Like, I'm into the horror genre, anything remotely frightening captures my interest. You?" P.J. asked, trying to change the subject.

Anria was about to make some smart-Alec response about what he might have meant by what she was 'into' but she held her tongue, more because her mind was elsewhere rather than due to her supposed maturity. "Daydreaming," she responded wistfully, leaving a silence to fall. It sounded innocent, until she turned with dark, sinister eyes and a crooked smile to further explain. "Daydreaming about ripping all their limbs off, leaving them cooking in the sun until they beg, beg for mercy. 'Please' they cry 'please, I'll repent, please, mercy' but it's futile." Anria felt a hot rush of insanity course through her veins. Unlike the last time it had occurred, though, when she was with Laura, she didn't fight it. She embraced it, let her honest thoughts spew out into Peej's lap like a cat gifting it's owner with a mutilated rodent. "They killed our people, our families, our friends," she hissed, shaking her head as tears filled her eyes. "They deserve every... ounce... of pain..."

(sorry for the late reply!)
"Sounds beautiful." P.J. complimented. There was no sign of sarcasm in his voice, because the thought of killing others so creatively gave him the good kind of chills. He could listen to it all day if he had the choice.
P.J. placed his hands behind his head and had his legs crossed on the pew in front of him. He closed his eyes, and imagined everything Anria had described. It looked like something out of a horror movie. P.J. adored it.
Whoever "they" is must be GREAT person.
"They killed our people, our families, our friends...They deserve every...ounce...of pain..."
The small teen's eyes flung open in realization. His once relaxed expression turned to one of worry and distress. P.J. turned his head to see Anria on the verge of tears. He put his legs down from the pew and rubbed his neck in thought.
Man...I don't know how to sympathize for others...or even help people...well, here goes nothing.
"Y-you're right. But if you do ever come across them...be careful. I don't want you get hurt." P.J. explained. "At least you don't have to worry about them coming into the haven!"

Her fierceness fading, Anria shrugged, wishing he was correct. "If only that were the case," she grumbled, thinking of Asriel. Suddenly, the mutant's words, before the HBES had regained control over his mind and body, burst into her thoughts. "You've gotta protect everyone else here, ok, Anria? " A chill went down Anria's spine. Despite her fear that Peej would find her explanation of what she had said prior ludicrous, she obeyed Asriel's, the real Asriel's orders. "There's a guy," she said, contemplating her words as she stared at the ground, "Who... who is different. Well, I mean, more different than the rest of us. He's a therian, but... he's... mutated. They took control of his mind, stuffed it down into the depths of his consciousness and forced an alternative into his mind: Sheem." She licked her lips, as though that would make her seem less crazy. "Asriel is still in there, I've seen him, but... You need to watch out, okay? We all do. Only my life, really, is worth risking. Just... don't go near him, tell everyone else you meet. Okay?"

Oh son of a...They're getting smarter and smarter...
P.J. felt the unfamiliar feeling of his stomach dropping. There was a spy sent in by them? The small teen looked down at the church floor and pouted. Maybe he wasn't as safe as he thought he was.
"Alright, I'll take note of that." P.J. said, a sad smile on his face. "Poor guy..." Peej went over what Anria said a second time.
"Only my life, really, is worth risking."
She's really a brave warrior, huh?
"Do...you hate yourself? Or do you just want to fight for good of others?" he questioned Anria.
